Molly Miller, an incoming freshman from Rockford, Minn., spent her #uwsummer in the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences QuickStart program. “I chose UW because of the research opportunities. I have always been heavily interested in the Medical sciences and the research and lab opportunities here cannot be beaten. I am studying Biology on a Pre-Med/Pre-Health track.” “The Quick start program has helped me become more comfortable with my new life as a Badger. It has taught me that there are endless opportunities to make a difference during your time on campus. It has made such an impact on me, opening doors, and showing me what I have the opportunity to be a part of. I am so thankful for the program, I would have felt so overwhelmed if I had not participated in Quick Start.” “During Quick Start I learned that UW-Madison has so many opportunities to improve you not only as a student, but as a person. They offer everything from volunteer opportunities to sports and beyond. I learned a lot about the study abroad opportunities and I look forward to taking full advantage of those opportunities!” says Molly.
